Over at DP there have been a bunch of threads talking about marketing on MySpace, I’ve decided to run a little experiment to see what results can be achieved.
The profile I am going to use currently has four friends, the first stage of the experiment will be to get as many friends as possible in a particular vertical market. The next stage will be attempting to market my product/service to them.
Vertical Market: PSP (Playstation Portable)
Desired Outcome #1: More people using WinPSPortal
Desired Outcome #2: More people using my PSP Forum.
Desired Outcome #3: More Income.
MySpace Profile: http://www.myspace.com/winpsportal
I will not be using any other marketing techniques during this test, so it should be possible to get some decent stats.
I will also be using specific URL’s so that I can track easier.
The first part of the process is to get a decent looking profile up, with Content, even in MySpace content is king, I should have something decent up in the next day or two.
I’ll let you know when it’s up ready.
