@Giles: I know how you feel about the multitude of ideas and the inability to implement them. It’s especially hard for me just getting started because I want to save by not outsourcing anything. But at the same time, working for myself, time is my msot limited resource. Now if I could only clone myself….

I have given siteX a try and I like it. Next time I make a community based site I will use it. SiteX however, is missing some vital things:
*RSS feed importing
*SEO Friendly links from the link page
*it is not very customisable

Having said that. I am making a site using it now.

Drew, hows progress on this going? I have plenty of fresh stuff to shre with you, so drop me an email.

I have plenty of ideas, i really do. But I dont have the expertise to make them work.

I can’t combine three or four different php scripts using the same user database, and nothing seems to be working.

I need to keep it simple but original.

Well thats the trick, finding something easy and works well, everyone wants that.

There are lots of things out there, you just need to come up with them. i’ve been having a run of ideas recently, got at least 5 ideas for new sites.

I’m planning on writing something about coming up with ideas soon.

But how do I mae it fit?
Should I just buy a domain and a CMS and use that?
I could make a game cheats site, but there are so many!
What else could I do thats easy and works well?

Sometimes you need to start with something that doesn’t quite fit and live with it until you can make it fit or pay someone to make it fit.

Other times you find someone to make it fit straight off.

You’ll just have to wait and see what the (near) future holds.

It’s more like I don’t have the experience with php or mysql to make them come to life. All the scripts I can find are either not good enough or they don’t do what I want, and I don’t know how to combine them together.
