Behind the scenes I have been busily working away on this project, so if you haven’t heard back from me for a while then this is probably why.

I have just finished migrating to a new faster server with far more bandwidth than the previous one, as part of this project I am prepared to offer space on this server to New Zealand based website publishers who are just starting out.

Of course there will be some terms and conditions on this free service, but they will be pretty much what any hosting provider would have.

There are probably a number of people who don’t believe me about what I am earning. Which is strange because I am not making wild claims or even earning a huge amount like some people I know.

I even had one person post a comment on an earlier article (here) saying that it was all in my head, so here is some proof. Remember this is only a copy of my adsense cheque (check for Americans). In addition to this I receive payments from various other advertising networks each month as well.

For a long time now I have been a regular visitor to a couple of major website publisher forums, both of them are great places to learn and full of very helpful people.

Unfortunately I recently quit one of these sites because of the way one of the volunteer staff was treated, fortunately that ex staff member also runs another website publisher forum, so I have replaced SitePoint with his forum.

Well I’ve been very busy upgrading quite a few of my sites, everyone seems to be releasing news versions at the same time.

Anyway, When I upgraded this site last night I made a mistake in a template (or two) and all the comments and the ability to leave comments disappeared. It’s all fixed now, sorry about that!

People sometimes ask me how I manage to publish so many websites (currently I have 17 I think) and then manage to get people to visit them.

Publishing the sites is easy, the hard part is getting traffic to them.

So I have put two more sites online.

The first PimPR came about because of people always asking about what their future Google Page Rank would be. I decided to write the most accurate Future Page Rank Calculator. I believe I suceeded. Enjoy this fantastic tool!

If your not from New Zealand then I doubt you will have ever heard for Trademe, it’s our version of eBay only better. We have eBay as well, but almost no one uses it.

Anyway, Trademe was just sold by it’s founders, for $700 Million!

I don’t need 100,00 people to clear this nations deficit, all I need is a few Sam Morgan’s (Founder of Trademe).

So come on get to it, we can do this!

No, I’m not writing this from beyond the grave, recently I have been doing a bit of thinking on what would happen if I died, not that I plan to die, but you never know.

I have a young family and my online earnings are starting to become a serious part of our income. My partner knows what I do, but she doesn’t know all the nitty gritty, to be perfectly honest she is not that interested (except for the money each month).

My earning for Feburary were down quite a bit. I only earned $710 US$ for the month.

I believe the cause to be that one of my major revenue generating sites has done something to offend the almighty google, the end result being that instead of Google giving my about 70% of the total traffic to the site, Google only accounted for around 1% of my total traffic for that site.

I have taken steps to fix the problem, so with any luck within a month earnings will return to normal.

I just noticed there has been an update to the AdSense reporting system, you can now see on your reports when your displaying CPM advertising and how much it is making you.

You need to select individual ad unit in the advanced reporting screen to get these reports. Way to go Google that is something I have been wanting to see for ages.
