My first month in operation has definately been a learning experience.
At the start of the month I had:
Sites Online: 0
$ Spent: $0 (nzd$)
$ Earned: $0 (nzd$)
$ Total Income: $0
So I had no sites online (with advertising), it cost me nothing, and I earned nothing, in contrast at the end of the month I had:
I’m now into my second week of attempting to earn a living online. Things have gone really well in the last week.
All the features of my virtual server are now activated, I’ve been doing a lot of reading and research. I have decided on the software for my major project.
Probably the best news this week has been that the revenue generated has increased by an order of magnitude.
Earlier I said that I would report on the first two weeks, after looking at my stats reporting I have changed my mind and decided to split it into two reports, so expect another weekly report tomorrow.
I feel I achieved quite a bit this week, the virtual server came online, I got quite a bit of stuff moved across to the new server and did quite a bit of planning.
Dollar values will be converted to nzd$ where needed and may not be 100% accurate. If there is a second amount in square brackets then the nzd$ amount is an estimate only, the second amount is the real amount earned in the currency it was earned in.
For this period I only had one site doing any advertising, and it is a fairly new one so doesn’t have a great deal of traffic as yet.
This is pretty obvious, but it is definately worth doing, find the experts in your field and also in online business. Listen to what they have to say, and then think about it.
You need to make an decision if what they are telling you is right for your site. Remember for every rule there is an exception, perhaps your site is the exception.
While I’m talking about learning, on one of my sub-daily checks of problogger.net, I saw that Google are going to be running a webinar on AdSense optimisation, so I have signed up, with any luck I’ll pick up a few more good tips. Sign up Here!
